Lent begins on Ash Wednesday (6th March) and lasts for about six weeks until Easter. There are many services and events during Lent where we reflect on Jesus and his journey to the cross. We look forward to having you with us as you journey through Lent.
Ash Wednesday - 6th March at 7.00 pm
Sung Eucharist with the choir and Imposition of Ashes
This year we are joining in the Church of England's Lent Pilgrim programme and exploring the Beatitudes. Sessions last about an hour and end with Compline and refreshments. Join us in the church at 7.00 pm on the following Mondays:

The Annunciation - 23rd March at 5.00 pm
Choral Evensong with the choir. Refreshments available after the service.
Mothering Sunday - 31st March at 11.00 am
Sung Eucharist with thanksgiving followed by refreshments.
Palm Sunday - 14th April at 10.45 am
Sung Eucharist with the choir. The service begins at 10.45 with a procession from Micklegate Bar to the church. Refreshments available after the service.
Tuesday in Holy Week - 16th April at 7.30 pm
Eucharist for Holy Week followed by refreshments.
Maundy Thursday - 18th April at 7.00 pm
Sung Eucharist with the choir and stripping of the altar. Followed by meditation and the watch at the Easter garden in the St Nicholas Chapel.
Good Friday - 19th April at 11.00 am
A devotional service wtih choir. Followed by meditation at the Easter garden in the St Nicholas Chapel.
Easter Day - 21st April at 11.00 am
Sung Eucharist with the choir to celebrate Easter Day. Refreshments available aferwards.
